I've never played through a MGS game before, so it was all a first to me. Though I understood the games background and history well enough to follow the story, thanks to friends.

I wish all games were as cinematic as MGS. Really makes for a complete story.

Though, I couldn't help but sigh at the apple product placement and occasional PS3/blue ray jokes.

I just played it at my friends place because I figured it'd be the only reason for me to get a PS3.

Not that I'd ever buy one in reality.

This is kinda in response to the PS3 jokes comment / only reason to buy PS3, I kinda warmed up to Sony during there E3 showing. I have a Wii (since launch) and can't decide between PS3 and 360. I knew buying a Wii I would need one of those two consoles as well.

When the FF13 announcement was dropped, MGS4 was all I wanted left. However PS3 showed some really cool new titles, like Infamous, so I've still not made my mind up yet. I can't live off Wii alone, especially with so few new titles that would actually be worth the money.

Yeah, I got that feeling at some points... But it did make for an interesting story.

It felt like the bastard child of a feature length film and a video game.

I only like cinematics when they're only a minute long within the game. cinematics should only be long if it is the intro or the ending (excluding the credits). Which reminds me, is that guy behind the mask you again or did you switch places?
