Coughing-dog, Awkward-Squid, HandsomeSloth, DrFreemantt and myself recently entered a 48 hour animation challenge here in Perth, Western Australia. We ended up winning the whole thing! We had to make an animation based on the words "Orange", "Disguise" and "Pride". I'm very happy with what we were able to do in the very limited time provided to us.
SO GO CHECK OUT THE CARTOON HERE!
If you like the music, go listen to it here.
Also.. I may or may not be going to Comic-Con this year. It depends on if I get my visa in the mail tomorrow.. If so I'll be on the next plane out of here.
EDIT:
Scratch that. I'm going. See you all on Friday!

Last week we held the second ever Newgrounds Australia meet in Melbourne! This giant video is a result of the event.. Sorry about the quality of the video though, it was a bitch to stick together and I had to film it on a shitty camera. Regardless, enjoy!
Thanks to Luis for all his hard work at making this thing come together the way it did. I'm lousy at this junk and he really kept it all together. Such a big turn out, it was amazing.
Also, congratulations Tom on the new baby boy! We wish you could've been there.. Also Adam.

Hey Newgrounds,
About a week or so ago, I was contacted by Machinima.com. They were asking me to animate something for their E3 broadcast. I didn't really know what to make, so in one night I rushed this offensive prediction (it's really shitty, literally).
Needless to say, a lot of kids have been super butt hurt about it. Which I was honestly hoping for. Don't get me wrong though, the Wii U looks fun.
Also I finally got a YouTube partnership.. So that's kind of okay I guess. To celebrate that I rushed another cartoon, which is equally as bad.
Next week I'm releasing a cartoon that I was slowly working on over 4 or so months. I finished it almost a month ago, but I've been sitting on it. It's a cartoon about my initial reactions to Minecraft (yeaaah I know, a minecraft cartoon). It was originally a voice recording I did back in January (though it did change a bit), but enough people convinced me I should animate it, so I did. Surprisingly, I'm happy with how it came out. I've also been in contact with 2 Player Productions who are interested in showing clips of it and possibly interviewing me for their upcoming Minecraft documentary, so fingers crossed.
Also at the end of this month, myself and Luis are hosting the second Newgrounds Australia Meet in Melbourne! So if you're interested in coming to hang out with a bunch of NG people, you should totally go read about it. It'll probably be my last chance to do one, as I'm moving to California in July (:..

Hope to see you there!

So it turns out I'm moving to California this July. But before I go I'm planning a trip to Melbourne! I was hoping to put a day aside to do the whole Newgrounds thing like we did way back when. For those of you that didn't come, it was a blast. We had a great time, thanks to Luis for organizing it of course.
Well I'm just looking to see if there's any interest in me trying to organize something here. it probably wouldn't be anything fancy, just a sausage fest at some pub and a night of watching Master Samus do some drunken backflips. Any Melbourne locals that'd be down for helping me organize it would of course be appreciated (I live in Perth). I realize that some of you might be under 18, but if that's the case I can see what options we have for stuff we can do during the day.
I can't give a solid date right now, but my guess is sometime near the end of June or the first week of July.
If you're interested, just say so below and I'll keep you in the know if it goes underway!
Cheers.
Unrelated news, I have a new cartoon coming out within the next week or 2..

I'm not amazing at it, but I want to practice. I recently got a rather good recording setup, so I've finally decided to take another stab at doing it.. Recently I did an improvised recording about Minecarft, which people have convinced me to animate (slowly doing that right now). So if you need voices, don't hesitate to pitch a role to me over PM. Even if it's small, I'm down. It was sort of a new years resolution for me that I'd try and do more voice acting.
If you want actual good voices though, go here. Show him some love.

Hey Newgrounds,
Nandi, a Newgrounds user and good friend of mine is competing in the Gorillaz character competition! She's made it all the way to the final round and she could really use your support! If you would kindly vote for both her final entries HERE and HERE.. It would be muchly appreciated! Also you should really go check out her art work that she's recently started submitting to Newgrounds, it's fantastic.
Also I've finished a new cartoon! I'd love to share it with you, but I can't just yet. Machinima.com asked me to develop a new episode of "Gamer Tonight" for the "2010 Inside Gaming Awards'. It'll be a interval skit before one of the award categories. After it premieres there I'll post it online. I had very limited time to make it, but I went back and cleaned up a lot of the shit that was bothering me with the symbols, so I'm fairly happy with how it came out (considering the amount of time I did it in). First episode of this I've done in 2 years.. Really didn't think I'd do another one honestly, but it seemed too neat an opportunity to turn down. It features music all done by Ken Ashcorp.
I'm also finishing up Gameoverse 5, which was near completion.. But put on hold briefly so I could do this. Shouldn't be much longer on that! I'd like to have it out before the end of year.

Just plugging my bro Kenny and his new song "Awkward". He's the one responsible for the awesome Vuvu Hero theme. I recommend checking out the rest of his stuff.
Also, my other friend Nandi has finally submitted a butt load of her art to Newgrounds. Go check hat out here, she's really talented.
In unrelated new, I have 2 cartoons coming out soon (working on them simultaneously). One being due in 7 days. So if you haven't, follow me on twitter to catch some possible livestreams this week :).
Hugs and kisses NG,

After Vuvu Hero, myself and my friend Mike started work on a Indie xbox live game. So far it's been great, I'm very proud of my productivity so far. Just one thing that's really frustrating me is upon returning home this year I learned there's no indie game support on Australian 360s. Does anyone out there know what the deal with this is? My understanding is that since it's illegal to sell non-classified/rated games within Australia, they haven't been able to bring the service over. Meaning that all indie games would have to be submitted for classification, which I'm assuming Microsoft doesn't want to deal with (considering it costs per title to classify them). I've heard I am allowed to buy the XNA development doohickey, to play the early builds on my machine.. But past that I'm not allowed to have our own game on my 360... Has anyone heard if there's been any further developments on this? Will Microsoft ever consider bringing the service over? I don't see why we can't have it, considering Apple have been completely ignoring the laws with their iphone app store here. :|
Just to be clear, I'm talking about Indie XBL, not the standard arcade service where you buy Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid.
Also in unrelated news, I'm applying abroad to study my bachelors in 7 days. Shitting bricks. Preparing my portfolio like a muddafugger (and trying hard to avoid Minecraft).
Check out this animation by the creator of "Regular Show" when he studied at CalArts:
